Submit your national non-domestic rates (NNDR) claims

Use this service to:

  • submit your NNDR claims for maintained schools and academies to the Department for Education (DfE)
  • make adjustments to previous claims

You must submit your initial claims between 1 April and 22 May of the current financial year. The financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

If you need to make any adjustments to claims for the current financial year or previous 6 years, you must submit these during the reconciliation period which runs from 23 May to 2 February.

Before you start

DfE Sign-in

You need to have an account with the DfE sign-in service attached to your billing authority. If you haven't used DfE sign-in before you'll need to create an account.
