Submit your NNDR claims (for billing authorities)

Important

The NNDR claims service is now live and the deadline for submitting is 12 noon on 31 January. 

Use this form to submit your national non-domestic rates (NNDR) claims for maintained schools and academies to Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).

You must submit your initial claims during the first claim period. This is between 1 April and 22 May of the current financial year.

If you need to make any further claims for adjustments or changes, you must submit these during the 'reconciliation period'. This is between 23 May and 31 January of the current financial year.

The financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

Before you start

Submission template and data
You need to complete the submission template before making your return. Visit the billing authority NNDR claims guidance (opens in new tab) page to help you prepare your claims.

You should already have downloaded and completed the claim submission template file. You can return to the start of the NNDR claims service (opens in new tab) if you need to download the template file.
